About the design: I’ve been experimenting with creating my own painting surfaces, and this piece represents another time when I'm “thinking outside the box” to create a textured surface on watercolor paper. I found inspiration for my mixed media abstract flowers by letting the materials themselves guide me - watching how watercolor bleeds into tissue and discovering floral forms in the unexpected patterns that emerge.
